We’re excited to introduce Pete Dorsey, Altruist’s new Chief Strategy & Revenue Officer who comes to us after 20 years at TD Ameritrade and Fidelity. He was most recently TD Ameritrade’s National Managing Director where he led the sales, relationship management and consulting teams, working hand-in-hand with financial advisors as they grew their practices.
During his time at TD Ameritrade, Pete helped implement a scalable, responsible growth strategy, generating over $650 billion in assets under management in just ten years to become the second-largest RIA custodian in the country. Pete’s experience positions him perfectly to lead Altruist’s go-to-market strategy and his strategic leadership will add critical value in ensuring that Altruist provides the best platform and client experience for RIAs.
“We couldn’t be more excited to welcome Pete to our team,” said Jason Wenk, CEO of Altruist. “Pete launched and built his career in the custody and brokerage world, working hand-in-hand with financial advisors as they establish and grow their practices. His unique perspective and boots-on-the-ground experience will allow us to grow the Altruist platform and better serve financial advisors of all sizes.”
Beyond his expertise and experience, we’re proud to have Pete join the Altruist team because of his commitment to our mission: making good financial advice accessible for everyone.
“In my 20+ years of experience, I’ve had the tremendous privilege to witness the impact of great financial advisors on people’s lives. I’ve been in the room where advisors have sat with families navigating the loss of a loved one and in the room where they’ve helped families plan for their children’s futures. It’s deeply emotional, personal, and important work but I've also seen how many barriers there are that keep advisors from thoughtfully serving their clients. That’s why I joined Altruist — one of the best solutions I’ve seen that enables advisors to focus on what matters most.”
When he’s not thinking of how best to serve advisors, you can find Pete surfing with his two boys and cooking up a storm in the kitchen.
